Mission Accomplished!
Operation Santa’s goal this year was to fill and ship 20,000 Christmas stockings to our deployed troops this Holiday season. We not only reached that goal, but surpassed it. 20,900 Christmas stockings and 300 Hanukah bags, all handmade and all filled with goodies from home, are now on their way to our deployed troops to reach them before Christmas.
We've already received 2 thank you's back, from 2 units who just received their boxes full of stockings! Both thank you's were filled with gratitude for the support you sent them. We will continue to post the Thank You emails and photos we receive back on this site.
Folks from every one of the 50 states across our great country sewed stockings, wrote cards, collected and sent stocking fillers. Our community turned out in a huge way to help make this happen, we had eager folks stuffing and boxing up the stockings.
We tried to fill every request for stockings we received, troops deployed to war zones took the first priority. Stockings were also sent to our wounded heroes recovering in 2 military hospitals.
On Christmas Eve, when you’re snuggled in at home with your family and loved ones, and have that warm Christmas Eve glow inside, multiply that by 20,900, knowing that you helped touch that many lives and raise the spirits of those men and women in uniform so far from home. Those troops are someone’s heart and soul, a little one’s mom or dad, a mother’s child, the husband of a wife anxiously waiting at home and keeping the home fires burning. All deployed far from home in the name of our freedoms.
What a successful effort, Because of each and every one of you who helped.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank you
